Nondum cadit nec ascendit ergo creat

(On the precarious ledge, all that awaited was the fall.)

There he stood, upon Babel’s balustrade, enduring.

On one foot, with one hand.

The narrow ledge offered support only for his heel.

Thus, he was nearly always suspended in empty space.

(On the precarious ledge, there could be no salvation.)

Yet he did not fall.

One hand stretched high, clutching the flesh of plenitude, just barely grasping its very edge.

His grip, tenuous and trembling, held only by the tips of his fingers.

So he endured, poised on one foot, clinging to emptiness with a single hand.

(Infinity brushes the crown of his head.)

He removes the fool’s cap of his last masquerade.

Infinity’s mysterium grazes the crown of his head.

The transparency of mystery sheaths the tip of his penis.

Cogito ergo sum.

(The abyss brushes his toes.)

He flings away his last jester boots.

The murmur of the abyss brushes against his toes.

The darkness of murmurs laps beneath his testicles.Excitor ergo sum.

(Nondum cadit nec ascendit ergo creat.)

(He does not yet fall nor rise; therefore he creates.)
